-ONE MELB SHOW – The crew only have one show in Melbourne this year! Revolver Upstairs in Chapel St Prahran, it’ll show case a new era and sound and we are toey as a Roman sandal to give the MELBOURNIANS and the Revolver a good spanking!

- NEW ARTILLERY – Dallas and Jeff are both using new artillery.. A custom 1968 Gibson flying V and Dallas, a custom Les Paul and some home cooked fuzz pedals! But don’t worry, we will never lie down the well thrashed National and Aussie made, Wayne dobro’s…..

- THE END OF A RED ERA – Dallas is also sporting a new hairstyle, it’s called the chemical cut, no Frasca’s were hurt in the making only a shit load of length, but we do have ourselves a blonde. - GOAT THINKS FRASCA SHOULD GIVE HER FANS A FREE CONCERT IN THEIR PLACE OF CHOICE! – We’re still frothing over 2010 MusicOz artist of the year! We have come up with a MAD little plan to give back some love and music to our fans to celebrate the win! Goat thinks that maybe we could drive, fly, skip, boat, float, pogo stick, train, rolly polly, work ourselves to the biggest fan of Dallas Frasca’s anywhere in Australia for a free show at a venue / house / paddock / swimming pool / roof /P penthouse / elevator party or whatever their choice. I have now been out 7 nights straight in Melb, the music scene is so strong I cant help but be inspired to LAY the NEXT record down here. Places like the Pure Pop Records you can still smoke, drink and listen to music and buy a record, you can watch Freddy Negro do his legendary cartoons, naked from the waste down.. hehe …How fkn rad is that! Oh yeah Goat don’t smoke… If you like the ALT/ country, you can go to the Gem in Collingwood and half a beer away is the Tote for all things hard and loud! You can have late slurps and bands at the Pony in the city or listen to killer DJs spinning 45’s at the Cherry Bar in AC/DC lane. It just doesn’t stop! So many killer bands and venues and not to forget the Community cup coming up! LIVING END 5 BUCKS GOT TO LOVE THAT……..

- SUMMER FESTS
 – Look out for Dallas and Clan they have a heavy summer festival schedule coming up and want to turn it up and impale your ear drums and shrink your brains into peas, harder and louder than ever! Come on kids, let’s blow some more AMP speakers out of their sockets together, OH What A Joy!

Lets start by saying that Goat is happy as a one legged lesbian on a pogo stick!!! Dallas Frasca and team are very proud to have won ‘Artist Of The Year’ and also best Blues and Roots song, ‘Thank you For Making Me Who I am.” at the 2010 Musicoz Awards this year..

It’s so exciting to part of this movment that is growing and will never be taken back! Thanks to all the bands and music lovers that make this possible for Independent bands you put the  RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRWWWWW  .. in RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROCK

FESTIVALS AND INTERNET

The face of music is changing and we are taking the power back! Festivals are the new radio, they are starting everywere and support live big and small artist! Ozz bands are shredding live and not miming, or put there because of the control of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Independent bands teaming with other bands sharing and helping each other on myspace, facebook, twitter, removing the money factor! A force that is bringing freedom of uncontrolled music straight to your door step, we cant be stopped or controlled, not even you Britney, you cant stop them!

Venues are full of Independent bands that are selling large rooms out even without support from radio or record companies. It’s yours go and get ‘em you can do it!   :]

INDEPENDENT ?

Someone asked Goat  ”Do you think independent acts are B grade to record Label hahahahahaha…Let’s start with….. “As if chook dick!”…………

Your band mates are vibeing together to your hock your prized Gibson guitar to pay $900 worth of parking fines in your 5 and a half cylinder rusted ass, bum tour juiced, fly blown, monkey vomit, yellow home made paint job… But really you are loving that your unregistered 1978 HZ Holden panel van was given to you by supporters to help your dream come true :]

I’m sure all those true independent artists out there understand about pan handling together in places like Fiztroy to buy 15 cent mi goreng noodles to share with a dash of garlic (don’t forget the garlic, it keeps the immune system up and helps with scurvy kids). Buying the ‘ole clean skin wine next to the cop shop in carlton to help with inspiration on your next home record… (OH YEAH KIDS THE CLEAN SKIN IS BETTER THAN THE BIG LABEL SHIT, ONLY 5 BUCKS!…GO TRY IT ! STAY AWAY FROM THE SCOTCH THOUGH ITS NOT WORTH HORSE SHIT ! and we’ve all at one stage or another begged our parents for 3 months on the rent you owe for the seedy crusty maggot couch you have been living on in Newtown. Sometimes a Independent band is even lucky to make it to their own show!

So next time you see your favorite band, look deep into their eyes and see if there playing as if it’s their last show ever.. with so much passion they don’t care about all the crap it took to get there, they are the beautiful times with fellow band mates and music lovers we cherish and our determination to not let the struggle get in our way of what we want to do without creative control by no-one!!!!!
