Why Should We Party At Chris Lencz’s Place?

The Event is called ‘Breaking the Ice’ (after winter down here in Tassie). This event is held every year by YMCAB Youth Making changes Around Burnie and the Youth Development Officer. It is a community event that targets 12-25y olds and is held at the local pool for up and coming young artist to showcase their talents. Approximately 250-700 young people attend and is held in November. Insurance is covered by the pool and council. It is a day event ( in the arvo) therefore no security should be needed (maybe some volunteer coolers) as it is a contained area and Alcohol and Drug free. The young people just pay admission to get into the pool. They fundraise and have raised money to purchase a defibulator in the past

My best friend and I drove from Melbourne to Goulburn (approx. 7hrs) to see Dallas Frasca in a car that was on its last legs, with a non existant budget, we were so pumped we didn’t care how we were going to get home, we just NEEDED to make it to the gig! We did and it was more than worth it. We are mad crazy fans and it would be the best night of our lives to have Dallas and the boys play in our neighbourhood!!

Why Should We Party At Prue Parkinson’s Place?

Because Dad has the bus from Priscilla Queen of the Desert and I think Dallas should play on the roof. We will invite who we like, there’s plenty of camping space and the property is huge. There is a big old shed that has a stage set up, that we usually have the parties in, comes in handy if the weather turns bad. The property has both fresh water and salt water dams and beach access down the back for in the warmer weather. Plenty of space for people to camp out and dad usually hires porta loo’s when we have parties. No neighbours for noise complaints and being a small country area, word gets about so the locals are at the party anyway.
